The global fashion leader known as Prada was originally founded as a leather goods store in Milan, in 1915. Prada was originally known as Fratelli Prada, or "The Prada Brothers." Until 1978, Prada was only a fine leather working shop when Miuccia, the grand daughter of Fratelli Prada, became heir to the legacy. As Miuccia began to lead the company into couture fashion, she used her untamed fashion genius to create wild and flamboyant designs. This collection catapulted Prada into the fashion spotlight.
